It was a great day with Congressman Gallego. The Congressman visited the Administration Office and the Southern Area Treaty Lands, hosted by Vice President Johnny Lehi Jr and Councilman LePayton Choe. He expressed support for the Tribe’s land and water rights.
The Tribe recently approved the Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Act, which will ratify a 2000 treaty creating a reservation for the Tribe and provide water for the tribe to build a homeland and begin building economic prosperity.
The tribe would like to thank Congressman Gallego for taking the time to come out, visit with our leadership, and see the future of our Tribe.
