Taking care of our health doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with showing up, moving our bodies, hearing the truth about what’s hurting our people, and learning one simple change we can take home.
That’s exactly what we’re doing at the Health & Wellness Expo, hosted by the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe Health Department for Navajo Mountain community members.
Where: Navajo Mountain High School
When: Friday, January 30, 2026
Time: 12:30–3:00 PM
What to expect
This event is built as a simple, three-part experience:
12:30 PM — Circuit Training (Fitness Class)
We’ll kick off with a 1-hour circuit training session led by Benjamin Harvey. Come as you are—this is about participation, not perfection.
1:30 PM — “The Truth About Vaping” Presentation
Next is a short, direct informational session from the SJSPT Behavioral Health Program, presented by Virginia Arizona-Fat. Vaping is everywhere, and there’s a lot of confusion about what it does to the body—especially for teens and young adults. This is a chance to get clear, accurate information and ask questions.
2:00 PM — Food Demo
We’ll wrap up with a food demonstration led by the SJSPT Fitness & Wellness Program team: LeDaniel Gishie and Kaitlyn Simeona. Expect something practical—simple steps, real food, and ideas you can actually use.
Incentives for participation
Yes—incentives will be given upon participation. Come take part, learn something useful, and leave with support.
Quick tips
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Bring water.
- Bring a friend or family member—health is easier together.
