On April 16, 2019, the National Park Service, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area honored the 40 years of service of San Juan Southern Paiute Tribal Member, Jack Owl, Sr., on the Rainbow Bridge Native American Advisory Council. The Owl family was presented with a plaque in recognition of the contributions of Mr. Owl to enhance the cultural knowledge of the Park Service about the cultural significance of Rainbow Bridge to our San Juan Southern Paiute People.
